Judging by the demographics in the crowd it looked a lot like Easter on Saturday the St Catharines 4-pad. The players were focused and ready to rebound from a devastating loss at the hands of the Burlington Eagles on the road on Monday night. It didn’t take long for the Stars to draw first blood. “Show no mercy” was the message Veteran Forward and Team Captain Romaeo D’Intino was relaying before the game and the words were turned to actions as Niagara North steam rolled past the Eagles in a lopsided affair in front of a ruckus home town crowd.
Latrell Harris, playing in his first ever home game for the Stars summarized the game in one sentence, “Skating fast, hitting hard, scoring goals and great goaltending; Niagara North Hockey.”
Reflecting on the performance after the game was assistant captain Rylee St. Onge and Zach Renwick “It was great to see all three lines scoring tonight.” Said St. Onge. “Everyone came to play” added Renwick.
The shutout is the third of the year for Dylan Wells and first of the regular season.
The Stars are in tough with five games and just two practices over a nine day stretch to start the month of October.
